SMS Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to text messages sent by St. Michael’s Eye & Laser Institute (“St. Michael’s,” “we,” “us”) to patients and prospective patients who opt in to receive them.

What You May Receive

Appointment and service messages. If you check the appointment-texts box on one of our forms, or otherwise agree to receive them, we may text you about your request, appointment scheduling, reminders, and visit follow-up.

Promotional messages. If you separately check the promotional-texts box, we may also text you occasional offers and news about our services. This consent is optional and is not a condition of receiving care.

Message Frequency and Cost

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.

How to Opt Out or Get Help

Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You will receive one confirmation text, and we will stop texting that number. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (727) 202-2020, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. To opt back in, reply START.

Carriers

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for more on how we handle information.

Please Don’t Text Medical Details

Text messaging is not a secure way to send health information. Please do not text us symptoms, medications, or other medical details. For an urgent eye problem, call our office. For a medical emergency, call 911.
