Our surgery center is AAAHC-accredited and sits in the same building as our office at 1030 W Bay Drive in Largo, so your consultation, surgery, and follow-up visits all happen in one place.
What should I expect on the day of my eye surgery?
Before surgery day, follow the preparation instructions we give you, which may include adjusting medications and using prescribed eye drops. When you arrive, our team will review your health information, confirm your procedure, and answer any last questions. Surgery at our center is done on an outpatient basis, so you go home the same day with aftercare instructions and scheduled follow-up visits to check your healing.
Will I need someone to drive me home after eye surgery?
Yes. Plan to have an adult drive you home, because your vision may be blurry right after surgery. Your doctor will let you know when it is safe to drive again, which depends on the procedure you had and how your eyes are healing.
